Started My PhD in Computer Science at Singapore Management University

I’m excited to share that I have started my Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science at the School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS) at Singapore Management University.

I am grateful to begin this new chapter under the supervision of Prof. Thivya Kandappu, whose research interests in human-centered intelligent systems and pervasive sensing closely align with my interests.

A New Research Journey

My research journey will build upon my previous experiences in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Human-Computer Interaction.

I am particularly interested in exploring how intelligent systems can leverage multimodal sensing and machine learning to better understand human behavior and support meaningful human-computer interactions.

My previous research experiences, including work in medical imaging, eye-tracking, ocular biomarkers, and machine learning, have motivated me to further explore the intersection of AI, sensing, and human-centered computing.

Looking Ahead

Starting a PhD marks an exciting transition from undergraduate engineering and applied research toward deeper exploration and contribution to the research community.

I am looking forward to learning from my supervisors and colleagues, collaborating with researchers, and contributing to meaningful research throughout this journey.

I am especially grateful to everyone who has supported me throughout my academic journey and helped me reach this point.

A new chapter begins — with many questions to explore, ideas to build, and discoveries to make.

Looking forward to the journey ahead at Singapore Management University. šŸŽ“šŸ”¬
